Berger & Sons Surveyors Transit, Rod, Tripod - $1,500 (Collingwood)

Purchased by my Father-in-law in 1960 and used to survey the University subway line. I also have photos of this in action – once I find the box from when we moved.
Everything is working and includes:
- No. P100647
- Optics clean and no damage
- Spider web cross hairs intact
- Compass
- Mirrors
- Tripod Mount
- Level adjustments and dials
- Adjustment Key
- Tripod refinished and sealed
- Level Rod cleaned, oiled
- Carry box in original condition – could use a re-finish. I may complete this however though it may be better in the original condition
- Digital Handbook and Catalogue
From what I can tell – this is what is missing from this kit:
- Sun visor attachment
- Plumb bob and string
From a cat friendly home, however the cats showed no interest in these beyond the initial sniff.
Located in Collingwood. Sometimes I come down to the centre of the universe and can arrange pick up location in Thornhill or North York.
Asking $1500. Will accept reasonable offers. I am also happy to haggle if you wish to have that experience.
If you are fortunate, the cats may be around at time of pick up for a pss pss pss and pet, however no guarantees.
Unreasonable offers will be shown to the cat, laughed at and then deleted.
